With a career spanning twenty
years, sports superstar Sugar Ray Leonard is
acknowledged as one of the greatest boxers of
all time. Dubbed the new Muhammad Ali, he won
the gold medal at the 1976 Olympic Games before
turning professional in 1977 to set the stage
for a collection of the most memorable fights in
history. He was named “fighter of the decade” in
the 1980’s and along the way defeated some of
the finest boxers of the modern era including
Roberto Duran, Thomas Hearns and Marvin Hagler -
a fight which is considered one of the greatest
professional boxing matches of all time.
