Super Middleweight Kerry Palmer won ko'd Khalil Kobeissi in round one of a fight scheduled for 4 rounds. Kerry in white trunks with black piping had an easy fight stopping Kobeissi in round one, Kobeissi showed very little resistance and obviously not ready to fight at this level. Kobeissi competed in the 2006 Commonwealth games but needs to toughen up before he steps into the ring with anyone of Palmers boxing standard. Professional boxing has always been a tougher sport than amateur ranks.

Light Middleweight Paul Thorneycroft got stopped in round two by Micha Rivetti a fight scheduled for 4 rounds. Micha Rivetti 21 years of age was having his second win from 7 fights proved too strong for Paul and both fighters need more experience before meeting better opposition. Thoneycroft was just having his third fight and is 28 years of age and may have left it too long to begin a professional career. Rivetti is still young enough to improve and should concentrate on defense while throwing punches.

Lightweight Glen Marks v Shane Kelly - 6 rounds Glen Marks from St Kilda in Victoria was having his second fight after beating Dan Cody in March this year. Glen is 30 years old and for a man with a record of 1 fight for 1 win was very impressive beating a very experienced by comparison, Shane Kelly. Rumor has it according to Julian Holland, (in Glen's corner) that some extreme professional training took place in preparation for this fight and all went to plan. Samuel Colomban a Man on a mission

Welterweight Samuel Colomban v Ty Allen - 8 rounds
A very game Ty Allen fought making as good an effort as he could against a very fit, very determined, and very capable Samuel Colomban I say this because Ty did not stop trying for the whole duration of the contest. Colomban hails from Cameroon and was a competitor in the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne. He is trained by Ray Giles and is unbeaten in his 3 professional fights here in Australia since turning professional. His age is unknown but looks young enough to be beginning what looks like being a very successful professional career.
