On Sunday December 20th at the Malvern Town Hall, Peter Maniatis in conjunction with Michael Yang the number one boxing promoter in China will be promoting a WBC world title fight.

Not since the Jeff Fenech and Jeff Harding days have we seen a WBC world title fight in Melbourne, also on the undercard will be top Australian prospect Heath "The Heat" Ellis alongside Australian super-bantamweight champion Mark Quon, The Contender Australia's Pradeep Singh, the always entertaining Kane McKay and rising prospect Steve Gillingham.

Undefeated WBC World female boxing champion Wang Ya Nan who has now moved her base to Melbourne plans in order to do a Kostya Tszyu and become a fighting resident of Australia will defend her WBC middleweight world title against top contender Charity Mukami.

Wang would like to challenge Laila Ali the undefeated WBC Super middleweight world champion and the famous daughter of Muhammed Ali to a super fight early next year in Melbourne,  that is if she can successfully defend her title against Mukami on December 20th.

Back in China, Wang Ya Nan who is twenty-four years old is a big name but is not well known yet in Australia,

"l think Wang is the future of World Female boxing and can move up in weigh divisions to win more world title's hopefully for Australia", Peter Maniatis said.

"I have seen Wang's fight on DVD and watched her spar men in training and l believe she will be a superstar for female boxing in Australia l am a lucky man to be her promoter", Maniatis continued

Wang's trainer- manager Michael Yang has trained two world champions in China and believes Wang is the best talented boxer he has trained,
