BOX ON THE DOCKS

On Friday 28th March 2008 “Peninsula,” entertainment venue will be presenting an international event including Lance Gostelow who will challenge Indonesian boxing champion Tia Kosawara in a 12 x 3 minute rounds for the vacant WBO Oriental Light Welterweight Title. Kosawara is accompanied by trainer “Pino Bahari.’
Koswara comes from the training camp including Daniel Bahari who is flying out in April to contest another world title in Germany. Koswara has the opportunity if he wins this bout of being ranked in the top fifteen in the world.
The contest will also be for Gostelow’s current IBF Australasian title for contest.
The event is to be held at the Peninsula Venue Central Pier Docklands Melbourne. Included in the nights entertainment for tables of ten only is a two course meal presented by an executive chef. Included with the meal are a choice of local beer wine and soft drink for the entire night.
The undercard is expected to be exciting with another five bouts including a six round bout with Samuel Colomban vs Indonesian Hero Kitili. Colomban is the current WBO junior welterweight title holder.
Pat Rullo another promising Australian boxer will be challenging another boxer from the Pino Bahari stable, Andre Silooy in a six round junior middleweight bout.
The cost of the gold class ringside tables is $2500 for a table of 10 people. Out of $2500 the promoters have agreed to pay $500 to the “Challenge,’ Support network.
Also available are silver class ringside tables is $2000 for tables of 10 people. Also available are $1500 ringside tables. Any additional donations will be gratefully accepted by “Challenge Cancer Support Network.”
The Challenge Support Network provides services including “Ronald McDonald.’ House supporting familes and children to 18 years old with cancer. This has been a worthy cause of which promoter Brian Amatruda has been a “life member,” for over 10 years.
