Green screams for title shot

In no sport does money talk louder than in the fight game, and a cashed-up Danny Green is screaming at the top of his voice for another world title shot after dismantling American Otis Griffin in three rounds on Wednesday night.
Green, the former WBC Interim super-middleweight champ, decked the high-profile light-heavyweight three times in the third round for an emphatic  victory.
It was his third knockout win in a row over a world-rated fighter following his loss to Anthony Mundine in Australia's richest-ever fight last year.
Green’s manager Justin Manolikos told The Courier-Mail’s Grantlee Kieza: ``We're in a financial position to bring a world champion to Australia now to fight Danny in Perth and it really comes down to who will fight him here.
``There has been talk that Danny could fight Julio Gonzalez (who broke two of Green's vertebrae in an LA sparring session) to become the top contender for IBF champ Clinton
Woods. But we're willing to pay top money to the likes of Woods or Antonio Tarver (IBO champ) to come to Perth right now without any eliminators.
``We have had early talks with Tarver and we're talking millions to bring him here but he knows we want him and he knows Dan can draw the crowd to pay for it.
``We're negotiating with a lot of big-name fighters but Tarver is our preferred option. He has a high profile as he knocked out the great Roy Jones and he starred in the movie Rocky Balboa.
``And judging by his last few performances and Danny's last three fights, Tarver is there for the beating.''
Green (24-3, 22 KOs) drew a sell-out crowd of 6000 to see him crush Griffin (18-2-2) best known for winning the TV Reality series ``The Next Great Champ.’’
Manolikos is confident he could top the 28,000 who saw Mundine-Green in Sydney last year to see Green against Tarver or Woods in Perth.
Green has stopped world title challengers Jason De Lisle and Paul Murdoch as well as IBF No.13 Griffin since the Mundine fight in which he had a lot trouble making the weight.
