6x2
Radar Sithpetcin (70.40) v Luke Moloney (72.20)
Winner:
L Moloney Unanimous points
Referee: Chris Anderson
Andrew Campbell 60:53 Jim Boland 60:49 Wayne Ashdown 60:52
Luke Moloney
was having his 2nd Pro fight, after a distinguished Amateur career, he controlled the fight against
the brave import Radar Sitpetin to take his record to 2 fights, for 2 wins. Moloney showed the 1000 strong crowd that you can mix style with
power, he kept landing many solid right hands finishing with multiple stiff jabs. Watch out for Moloney for
future action.
6x3
Kane McKay (75.30) v Dave Dowden (77.10)
Winner:
K McKay RSF R1 2:21
Referee: Chris Anderson
Kane McKay continued undefeated with a TKO win over the durable Dave Dowden.
Dowden could not handle
the power of the well skilled Geelong boy McKay who hails from the Murray Gymnasium.
8x3
Dechapol Swanalert (71.40) v Pradeep Singh (72.20)
Winner:
Pradeep Singh RSF R6 1:02
Referee: Jim Boland
The Murray Thompson trained Singh improved his undefeated record of 6 fights by beating a well credentialed opponent Dechapol Swanalert.
Swanalert fired a few dangerous right hands but the highly skilled Singh was no sitting duck. Singh's
work rate and aggression was too much for the import and the referee called a halt to the action in round 6 or a scheduled 8 rounder.
Prahdeep
got awarded by the Victorian Boxing Trainers League "Most Improved Fighter of
the Year" trophy
donated by Young Victor for previous performances and was presented Sunday
11the Dec. 05 at the Maribyrnong - Maidstone RSL.
8x3 Victorian Middleweight Title
Chris Collard (72.10) v Jay Sims (72.30)
Winner:
C Collard Unanimous Points
Andrew Campbell 79:73 Wayne Ashdown 78:74 Brett McCormick 77:76
Referee: Jim Boland
Two local boys fought with pride and courage for State honours with the more experienced Collard getting the decision from all 3 Judges
in a highly entertaining and action packed fight that had the crowd on their feet screaming for more.
Sims in
just his 2nd Pro fight was a handful for Collard who has been very busy in 2005 with 6 fights to his credit.
10x3 Australian Lightweight Title
Alan Luxford (60.80) v Leigh Purcell (60.70)
Winner:
Alan Luxford RSF R9 0:01
Referee: Chris Anderson
Defending Australian Lightweight Champion Alan Luxford had too much fire power for the local boy Leigh Purcell. Trainer Murray Thompson had seen enough and would not let his courageous charge out for the 9th round.
Luxford's relentless and rugged style had Purcell on the back move for much of the contest.
Luxford took Purcell's best body rips and presented for more in a fight that created an electric atmosphere for all in attendance.
Purcell
showed great courage and promise but he lacked the strength he needed to
beat Luxford.
